Moving Services
UTEP Facilities Services provides moving services to all campus departments and offices. This service includes the following:
- Office rearrangement – moving furniture and other office items within the same office.
- Moving office furniture and other office items within the same building.
- Equipment and materials
- Archive records
- Contact Records Management ([email protected]) before scheduling an archival move.
Moves are scheduled in the order in which they are requested.
In order to service all departments within the University in a fair and equitable manner, please follow these steps:
- Submit request at least two weeks in advance – especially in the Fall Semester due to the high volume of events during this time.
- Submit a request through our Facilities Service Desk and include the following details:
- Contact name, email, and extension of the individual who will coordinate the move.
- Detailed list of items to be moved.
- Current location of all items.
- New location where items will be moved.
- Special considerations (e.g. desk hutch needs to be dismantled by carpenter shop prior to move, etc).
- Estimated moving date.
The hourly rate for moving services is $16.50.
NOTE: Relocation from one building to another building is serviced by Space Management and Planning and Construction. Please contact these departments directly.
